Millerstown Iron Company
Located in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, the Millerstown Iron Company operated a furnace in Macungie from 1874 to 1913. Macungie was originally known as Millerstown, but when the town changed its name, the company followed suit. The operation changed hands numerous times over the years, with the local sheriff selling off the property on two separate occasions. The Empire Steel and Iron Company ran the furnace its final two years (1912 1913) before closing the operation and selling it off as scrap.
