Atlas Wonder Mining Company

This company was incorporated in the state of California on November 1, 1909.

One of the company’s officers was Captain William Matson. Matson was founder and head of the Matson Navigation Company, one of the greatest ocean transportation companies on the Pacific, a Consul for Sweden, and a president or director of several big corporations He was one of the most highly respected and most influential workers for commercial and civic betterment in the State of California – in particular the San Francisco Bay area.

Among the other corporations in which Captain Matson was either an officer or director were the Honolulu Consolidated Oil Company, Paauhau Sugar Plantation Company, Commercial Petroleum Company, Hawaiian Oil Company, Honolulu Oil Company, Honolulu Plantation Company, Parkside Realty Company, and the Wonder Water Company.
