Allied Stores Corporation
Allied Stores was a conglomerate of retail department stores that were mostly acquired via merger or straight purchase. Some of the stores under the Allied banner were Jordan Marsh (New England), Joske’s (Texas), Stern’s Brothers (Manhattan) and Hahn Department Stores.

In 1986, the company was purchased by the Campeau Corporation of Toronto. Two years later, Campeau acquired Federated Department Stores, and eventually Allied was merged into the Federated division.
