Trans-Lux placed the first projection ticker on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange in 1923

They also pioneered the concept of “steaming media” with on-the-spot price and quote information, and developed rear projection technology for movie theaters

Trans-Lux placed the first large “moving signs” in large metropolitan areas and has manufactured scoreboards for many of the country’s sports facilities including Churchill Downs, the Cincinnati Reds’ new Great American Park, the San Francisco Giants’ PacBell Park, and Texas A&M’s Olsen Field.
