Shulton was originally incorporated in 1934 by William Schultz. The company’s original product was a private label soap. Over the course of the company’s history, Shulton produced Old Spice, Pierre Cardin and Nina Ricci products. In 1970, Schultz small operation had come to be worth $130 million, and he decided to sell to American Cynamid Corporation. In 1990, Procter & Gamble purchased the Shulton line from American Cynamid.
