Founded in 1929, Wean United, Inc. was another in the steel belts long line of companies, producing pressed, rolled steel. The company had plants in Pittsburgh, as well as Youngstown and Warren, Ohio.

The company filed for bankruptcy in the early 1990s and most of its assets were acquired by Danieli & C Officine Meccaniche in 1993.
