Now known as Handy & Harman, WHX held various interests in companies precious metals, tubing, and engineered materials in the US and Canada. Also in the corporate family were Arlon Electronic Materials, Arlon Coated Materials, and Kasco, owned by HNH's Bairnco. The largest, Engineered Materials, made fasteners and systems for building roofs. Other units made and supplied brazing alloys, steel tubing, laminates and substrates, and meat-room products, used in construction, electronics, telecommunications, medical, and aviation, transportation, appliance, semiconductor, signage, and food industries.
