The Mahoning Coal Railroad, extending from Youngstown to Anderson, Ohio, a distance of just over 30 miles. This company was organized February 25, 1881, and was leased to the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway Company in perpetuity on July 1, 1884 (along with the Stewart Railroad and the Mahoning and Shenango Valley Railroad.
